Basketball
Our basketball program is the breath and life of the LaCore Family Foundation. Our first team, MC Elite 2028, started in 2015 and we have now grown to 50 teams!
Our basketball program has given over 300 children in Melissa a solid foundation and passion for this sport. The qualities instilled by our coaches have inspired and motivated these athletes to succeed, and we believe these students will be more prepared to participate in school sports.
Baseball
Not only do young players learn the basics of baseball, but our coaches also focus on honing their skills like catching, throwing, and hitting, all while creating a fun environment. These coaches motivate and foster commitment and leadership in these young players.
Football
Our volunteer coaches strive to instill discipline and teamwork while sharing their vast knowledge and love for the sport. The program gives students a head-start and the building blocks they will need to further participate in school football. The lessons learned by working together and competing in this sport will serve them well in all walks of life, especially when they encounter life’s challenges.
Soccer
FC Cardinals Academy, FCCA, is the “Academy / Competitive” side of FC Cardinals. FCCA focuses on providing quality soccer training, sessions, and league play/tournaments for Melissa residents. The club started small in 2018 playing through recreational leagues, and as the club has grown and developed, FCCA was birthed in 2020 and an “Academy / Competitive” side of the club was created. Since forming FCCA and taking on a more competitive/serious approach to Academy / Competitive play, we have been able to secure an A-licensed Coach, formerly with FC Dallas, and secure World Class Training facilities right here in Melissa, TX.
The club has since grown to 10 FCCA Academy / Competitive Teams, and 8-10 recreational teams playing under FC Cardinals Youth – the recreational / less competitive side of the club.
Volleyball
Our volleyball program provides countless opportunities for leadership, communication, and teamwork. Our hope is that it also provides a place to build lifelong friendships.
