Founder
The LaCore™ Family Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Terry and Jennifer LaCore. Terry is the founder and CEO of LaCore™ Enterprises, a full-service company that provides guidance and support to start-up businesses in the sales and distribution industries globally. Long before the LaCore™ Family Foundation was established in 2021, Terry and Jennifer generously devoted their time and resources to their community. As the son of teachers, Terry has always recognized the importance of education and is well-known in Melissa, Texas for his charitable donations to the local school district and the community. Through LaCore™ Enterprises, Terry has also been the benefactor of scholarships to high school graduates, and over the years has provided numerous donations and sponsorships to the Melissa Education Foundation. Giving back to the community has always been a top priority for both Terry and Jennifer, and the LaCore™ Family Foundation embodies their core values of compassion, philanthropy, and service.
Co-Founder
Jennifer LaCore is the co-founder of the LaCore™ Family Foundation. As the daughter of a teacher and assistant principal, Jennifer is a firm believer in the importance of education. She has been instrumental in providing scholarships to the graduating seniors of Melissa High School. Jennifer is an SMU Graduate, a long-time resident of Melissa, Texas, and has been married to Terry LaCore for 13 years. Jennifer and Terry strive to ensure that children in the community are provided with the same opportunity to participate, learn, and grow in youth sports as their own children. Jennifer and Terry initially began this effort with financial support for basketball, soccer, baseball, and flag football for the Classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028, but their support now extends to over 50 youth sports teams! Jennifer and Terry have generously supported the Melissa Education Foundation, and the Special Olympics, and made a generous donation to establish and maintain the Willow Wood Elementary School Library. Beyond their financial contributions, Jennifer and Terry have invested their time, love, and effort, all of which embody Jennifer’s vision for the LaCore™ Family Foundation.
Director
In 2000, Jenifer earned her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University (“SMU”) Dedman School of Law after earning a B.S. in psychology from the University of Nevada. Jenifer now serves as the Chief Legal Officer and President of LaCore™ Enterprises. In her role as Director for the LaCore™ Family Foundation, Jenifer leads the legal and operational aspects of the non-profit organization. Her extensive background in practicing law and managing business operations and all aspects of corporate governance is invaluable to the organization. On a personal level, Jenifer has a servant’s heart and a passion for mentoring others. She served as RCIA team leader for her church from 2014 to 2019 and has been a Special Olympics Volunteer since 2018. Jenifer also generously devotes her time and resources to the local community and school district. Jenifer’s experience, integrity, and compassion will ensure the LaCore™ Family Foundation’s objectives continue to be achieved.
Executive Director
Erin is a Baylor University graduate, and a Texas native whose passion for serving others makes her a perfect fit for the LaCore™ Family Foundation. Erin is married to Pieter Wasserman, who has been a firefighter for 22 years, and who is currently a Captain at the City of McKinney Fire Department. Prior to serving as the Executive Director for the LaCore™ Family Foundation, Erin served in multiple roles in various ministries. She was an integral part of the First Baptist McKinney Praise Team Choir for many years. In addition to her gift and love for leading worship, Erin and her family led a ministry focused primarily on building homes in Acuña, Mexico. Over the course of 5 years, their ministry built over 20 homes for deserving families in Acuña, Mexico. Erin has now turned her passion for serving others and her desire to give back to the community into a commitment to serve the LaCore™ Family Foundation.
